Step Back in Time at Our Civil War Barn Dance
 

Civil War era music and dancing will be featured in a beautiful historic barn near Gettysburg during HGAC's Civil War Barn Dance, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022. Join the fun on a crisp autumn evening at Beech Springs Farm, 784 Mount Carmel Road, Orrtanna, PA.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with dancing to follow from 7 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Civil War period dance music will be provided by the Susquehanna Travellers. Visit them on the web or on Facebook. Dancing will feature reels, quadrilles, polkas, waltzes and much more.

Light Fare will be served. Period attire is encouraged but not required.

 

So, come and dance, learn to dance, or just have fun watching (and eating). Help preserve Adams County’s beautiful barns! Proceeds benefit HGAC's  Barn Preservation Project and Grant Program. New dancers will be assisted by Norma Calhoun and Wayne Belts of Dance Masters.
